Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev has taken to VK.com to shed light on his reasons behind withdrawing from WESG, stressing that the decision did not stem from Na`Vi's loss to GODSENT in the ECS Challenger Cup.

In the statement on his VK.com fanpage, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev apologized to the fans who wished to see team Ukraine compete at WESG and explained that health issues and exhaustion were the reason behind his decision.

He went on to stress that "tilt" and Na`Vi's failure to qualify for ECS Season 5 following their loss to GODSENT on Friday played no part in the decision, and that he felt he needed to rest.

s1mple also revealed that there was a chance team Ukraine could go to WESG with another player, although some of the remaining players decided against it. You can find a snippet of the statement below:

"I couldn't go because of my health and nervous system, I'm exhausted after individual and team practice in the last two weeks."

"This is the first time I feel like I need rest [...] now I feel that I need it because health is the most important. This isn't tilt and it isn't because we lost our last game."

"There was a chance to go with another player, but some players didn't want to."

The full statement can be found on his fanpage in Russian.
